Rebranded twice — Metro Retro became Ludi, now Spreo; the playful retro whiteboard lives on

Metro Retro was a fun, freeform online whiteboard built for sprint retrospectives, known for its playful templates, timer and engagement features. The product has since been renamed twice by its maker, Deqo Software Limited: to Ludi on 4 August 2025, then to Spreo on 1 July 2026 after a trademark cease-and-desist. The metroretro.io domain now 301-redirects straight to spreo.io. If you are searching for Metro Retro, the product you want is Spreo; the original Metro Retro brand and domain are no longer maintained.

Slack/Jira retro accountability — app no longer responds

Sprintlio was a retrospective tool built around action follow-through — Slack and Jira flows so action items didn't die on a board once the meeting ended. As of 3 August 2026 the product looks gone: the app host returns a Cloudflare 520 error, the marketing site was last built in May 2023 and now tells search engines not to index it, and there is no sign-up, log-in or pricing link anywhere on it.

Summary

Metro Retro scores 3.0 overall and is best for searchers who remember Metro Retro and need to know where it went — the product now ships as Spreo. Go there, or to a dedicated retro platform, instead. It offers custom pricing.

Sprintlio scores 2.7 overall and is best for nobody today — the app doesn't load. This entry exists for people who find the name in an old comparison, a stale directory listing or a procurement spreadsheet and need to know what happened to it. It offers paid plans from $50/user/mo.

Metro Retro leads on fun factor, open platform and enterprise-grade. Sprintlio leads on integrations.

Across our eight scoring dimensions, Metro Retro edges ahead with an overall score of 3.0. That said, the right pick depends on your team — see the dimension-by-dimension breakdown below.

Metro Retro — pros

 • + The product you remember still exists — it now ships as Spreo (Metro Retro → Ludi, 4 Aug 2025 → Spreo, 1 Jul 2026)
 • + The vendor says accounts, boards, data and workflows carried through both renames, and old links redirect
 • + Carried its playful templates, session timer and icebreakers into the rebrand
 • + Freeform whiteboard canvas that's friendly for engagement-first retros

Metro Retro — cons

 • The Metro Retro brand and metroretro.io domain are retired — the domain 301-redirects straight to spreo.io
 • Two name changes in under a year (Metro Retro → Ludi → Spreo) leave stranded searchers chasing a moving target; bookmarks, runbooks and SSO configs all need updating
 • No standalone free tier under the new brand — a 30-day trial, then paid
 • The old domain isn't a clean redirect everywhere: metroretro.io/pricing returns a stale Spreo Non-prod environment stub instead of forwarding (checked 3 Aug 2026)

Sprintlio — pros

 • + Action items pushed into the Jira backlog with owners and due dates, then chased in Slack — follow-through was the product's reason for being
 • + Slack-native flows: recaps, due-date reminders and notifications delivered into the channel
 • + Narrow and focused — a retro tool, not a retro module bolted onto an all-in-one suite

Sprintlio — cons

 • The app host (retro.sprintlio.com) returns a Cloudflare 520 — the product did not load on any path, from either vantage point, when checked 2026-08-03
 • Marketing site last built 2 May 2023, newest blog post September 2020, and it now carries a noindex, nofollow tag — the vendor has de-indexed its own site
 • No sign-up, log-in, pricing or contact link anywhere on the site: there is no way to become a customer, or to reach the vendor and ask
 • Capterra and other directories still present it as available at $50/user/mo with a free trial — none of that is obtainable
 • Even as it stood in 2023 the surface was thin: no AI, no structured health-check model, no cross-team reporting, and Jira and Slack were the only integrations
